I was in a place called Camp Sumatanga, which means “Place of Vision”. God showed me His love and passion in a way I had never known. This was the beginning of the ride of my life. How many of you know that when God takes over you just hang on? Little did I know that on this day, God would birth Women of worth Ministries and take a little Alabama Methodist girl and turn her into a Holy Spirit filled woman with the call and cause of Christ as her banner. It was a crossing over the line of no return.
There have been many other influences in my life, such as the Brownsville Revival in Pensacola, Florida, The Charisma Conference in Daytona, Carlos Anacondia and Claudio Freidzon from Argentina in Orlando, Marilyn Hickey’s Week of Mentoring in Colorado Springs and my husband’s visit to Promise Keepers to name a few. When your soul is ready for a move of God, He will open up the windows of heaven and pour out on you.
I thank God for each woman that has been a part of Women of worth Ministries over the past fifteen years. What a marvelous canvas God has unrolled before my eyes. Many have traveled down the same roads that I have – coming out of religion and into spiritual awakening. It has been quite an experience! I have seen many miracles, signs and wonders as the Name of Jesus has been proclaimed openly to save, heal and deliver.
The original vision that God gave me for Women of Worth was quite overwhelming. I saw thousands of women coming together and fervently lifting up the Name of Jesus. I saw myself on my knees before the crowd, pouring out my heart, proclaiming my love for Jesus. I saw lives being changed right before my eyes. I saw entire families being resurrected. There was total freedom with no religious bondage anywhere in sight.
My passion is to see the women of this nation rise up to be Deborahs, Esthers and Marys to the glory of God. I believe that women can and will soar to new heights. When we know our God given worth, the calling and destiny on our lives becomes clear.
