“I had run away from my situation from another state I was now homeless with my children. I had to leave my job, my house and everything I knew to get away for our safety. I didn’t want to stay in a “shelter”. I met with a social worker and she helped me and my kids move into Hetty’s Haven. It was not what I was expecting. It was a home. I was able to stay there while I healed, found a job and a safe place for me and my kids to live. When it was time to move into our new home my kid’s did not want to leave. I never imagined that one of the worst experiences of my life would lead to one of the best.”
